About Dr. Meghan Murray

I earned my doctoral degree in counseling psychology from Cleveland State University. I am currently licensed in the state of Illinois and Ohio.

I utilize an integrative model of care that allows me to tailor my approach to each individual/family depending on their presenting concerns. I often pull from CBT, TF-CBT, CBIT, DBT, ERP, PCIT, and PMT as needed. I like to do this in collaboration with my clients because I want every person to feel empowered in the therapeutic process as they move toward healing, change, and personal growth. When working with children and adolescents, my methods range from talk therapy to play and art therapy, incorporating elements like music and humor to help make therapy a fun, safe, and relaxed space to learn and develop skills. I also like to include family sessions as needed because many times, the magic really happens when a whole family learns how to best support the individual. After all, no one said parenting was easy so if you can learn some more tips and tricks along the way, you and your family will likely be better off for it.

I am originally from Sandusky, Ohio where I grew up right down the street from Cedar Point . Yes, I have ridden ever roller coaster in the park and I used to sing and dance at Johnny Rockets where I worked as a server every summer throughout high school and college. Since attending college at St. Louis University, my life has taken me all over the country. From St. Louis, Missouri to Dallas, Texas to Brooklyn, New York to Chicago, Illinois. All these wonderful places I have called home. Finally though, my partner and I have decided to make Sandusky our permanent home and have moved back to where we both grew up.
